Danish youth international goalkeeper Martin Hansen joined the Reds from Brondby in the summer of 2006.
His first year on Merseyside was spent at the Academy, where he was part of the 2007 FA Youth Cup winning side.
Hansen broke his finger in the warm up during the first leg of the final against Manchester United. Remarkably, he still played, though was not fit to take part in the return a week later.
The youngster graduated to Melwood aged just 17 ahead of the 2007-08 season.
